the only child in a nuclear family. was on good terms with his parents and behaved well up to a certain point. went to college because daddy told him to and to make him proud, but droppped out of it to join the army (?). became a rowdy playboy during that time. had a countless number of girlfriends, with which he never had (or didn't try to have) anything too serious in terms of devotion and further family-forming, for whatever reason. at some point, most likely after some comments from his parents about it, he started having thoughts regarding this issue, questioning his ways of handling his relationships with women. dropped out of college to join the army/got drafted in 1955 at the age of 18.
